1. How much does the standard mirror weigh?

 Capstone’s mirror comes in two sizes, and the more popular one is the standard size. It weighs in at 19 pounds, so you will need to make sure you secure it to a wall to prevent it from falling. 

2. What features does the smart mirror offer?

In Smart 1, you can surf the web and download any apps you want right on the mirror. You can sort through YouTube’s huge online video platform and look for anything from fashion guides, beauty tutorials, cooking, home exercise, health, and more. There are no subscriptions and costs to worry about. In Smart 2, you can extend your experience on your smartphone by casting the phone’s audio and video to the mirror’s speakers and display. 

3. Is this smart mirror portable?

You can power this smart mirror by connecting to the 12-volt 4A power bank. This removes the need to plug it into an electrical outlet. So, you can easily move the mirror from room to room if you don’t want to install it somewhere permanently. 

4. Can you safely install the smart mirror in a bathroom?

 Yes. All you have to do is wipe the mirror clean and not worry about water damage. The mirror comes sealed and designed to meet or exceed IP64 waterproof ratings. You won’t have to worry about water beading or moisture. 

5. How do you clean your smart mirror?

Since the smart mirror is sealed and waterproof, you can clean it just like you would any other mirror. You should use a non-abrasive, gentle screen cleaner first before wiping the mirror dry with a microfiber cloth. This will allow you to remove spots, streaks, and smudges without scratching the surface. 

6. Do you have to plug your smart mirror into a standard outlet?

 You don’t necessarily have to plug the smart mirror into a standard outlet. If you want to hang it in an area where you don’t have a power outlet, you can get a USB-C 20,000mAh power bank. This will give you enough power to run the mirror without having to create a whole new outlet. 

7. Can you make calls on your smart mirror?

In this product, you won’t find a sim card slot that would allow you to add phone service to it. However, depending on how you choose to customize it, there are several apps that you can download and integrate onto the HDMI display, like Skype, to make calls. 

8. Can you connect Bluetooth devices to this smart mirror?

Yes. One nice thing about this smart mirror is that it is compatible with almost any Bluetooth device. You can use it with external speaker devices, EarPods, and much more. You do have to have Bluetooth switched on for the mirror to find the device and sync up, though. Once you do, it’s a quick and easy process to connect your items to the smart mirror. 

9. Are there speakers in this smart mirror?

You can hook the smart mirror up to an external speaker system, or you can use the built-in speakers on the right side of the mirror to hear your items. 

10. Is the display screen on all of the time?

The smart mirror is a functional mirror, so it makes sense that the display isn’t always on. It comes with two different settings. When you switch the display off, you’ll get a regular mirror that you can use. When you’re ready to use it as a smart mirror, you can turn the display back on, and it’ll light up behind the glass. 

11. What happens if you get a defective product?

If you buy this smart mirror and it’s defective, you have to notify Capstone within 30 days of getting the shipping confirmation email. If you wait until you fall outside of this period, the company won’t be able to help you. 

12. Can you get a smart mirror outside of the United States?

Currently, Capstone doesn’t ship to any international locations. We won’t accept any orders from outside of the United States. 

13. What happens if you don’t get your smart mirror shipment?

If you order a smart mirror and you don’t get it, you have to contact Capstone within 30 days. Once you do, the company will take the correct steps to try and locate your mirror or replace it.

15. What smart mirrors can you get from Capstone?

Currently, Capstone offers a smaller standard mirror and a larger fitness mirror. The smaller mirror hangs nicely in virtually any room in your home, and the larger mirror works nicely in your bedroom or living room for working out. It’s easier to set the larger mirror on the floor and lean it back against the wall. There is also a docking station for the smaller mirror.
